For those who aren’t familiar with the first movie, Goosebumps is an American horror comedy film which is based on the novel series of the same name by R.L. Stine. The first film was released by Village Roadshow Pictures, but the sequel – Goosebumps 2 will be released by Sony Pictures.
The sequel is named Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. The film will be released by Sony Pictures as said before and it will be released on 12th October in the USA. The release in USA will be followed by release in UK on 19th October and then in Australia on 25th October. All releases in other countries will be around these dates only.
The second film will follow two boys – Sonny and Sam who wander into an abandoned house on Halloween and find a parchment. When they open it, they release Slappy, who plans to start an Apocalypse with the help of his other monster allies. Now, Sonny and Sam with their sister and Stine must stop Slappy before he succeeds in starting the Apocalypse.
The main cast for the film includes Wendi McLendon-Covey as Kathy Quinn, Madison Iseman as Sarah Quinn, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Sonny Quinn, Jack Black as R. L. Stine and the voice of Slappy the Dummy, Caleel Harris as Sam Carter, Ken Jeong as Mr. Chu, Chris Parnell as Walter, and Avery Lee Jones as Slappy. Dominic Lewis and Cinematography take music for the film care by David Peterson and Editing by David Rennie and Keith Brachmann.
