Thugs of Hindostan: Release Date, Cast, And Trailer

Thugs of Hindostan is an upcoming Indian action-adventure film directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra by the name of Yash Raj Films. The film is the most expensive Bollywood film with a production budget of 300 crores. The filming concluded in March 2018 and was shot in Thailand, Mehrangarh and Rajasthan. The film was initially titled ‘Thugs,’ but later the title was changed to Thugs of Hindostan. The music for the film is given by Ajay-Atul while Amitabh Bhattacharya penned the lyrics.

The film follows events set in 1795 when the Indian subcontinent when British India Company has set its roots in the subcontinent and Indian Bandits known as Thugs were a major threat to the British India Company. The film specifically revolves around a band of Thugs led by Khudabaksh Azaad who aims to free his country from the British India Company using his band of thugs to launch a full-on attack on the company. After hearing about this, British Commander John Clive sends out a small time Thug from Awadh, known as Firangi Mallah to infiltrate the band of thugs and counter the attack.

The film has been set to be released on 8^th November 2018 in the week of Diwali. The main cast for the show includes Amitabh Bachchan as Khudabaksh Azaad, commander of the Thugs, Aamir Khan as Firangi Mallah, a small Thug from Awadh, Katrina Kaif as Suraiyya, a performer, Fatima Sana Shaikh as Zafira, a warrior Thug, Lloyd Owen as John Clive, a British East India Company officer, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ronit Roy, Satyadev Kancharana, and Abdul Quadir Amin as Azhar Ali.
