Fire Force TV Anime Cast, Staff

The official website for Fire Force announcement the recruitment of a new member of the cast. It has been announced that Yusuke Kobayashi will play the role of Arthur Boyle. Arthur is a new recruitment in Shinra Kusakabe’s team. Arthur and Shinra haven’t gotten along ever since their days in training school. Arthur also calls himself the “Knight King”. A promotional video for the character has also been released.

The anime is being directed by Yuki Yase (Mekaku City Actors, Hidamari Sketch × Honeycomb) at David Production (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Cells at Work!). Yamato Haishima will oversee the work of scripts. Hideyuki Morioka(Kizumonogatari, Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei) will be designing the characters.

The main character of the series, Shinra Kusakabe is voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara (Black Clover’s Asta). The manga is published by Kodansha Comics in English. Here is the synopsis of the series—

Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! Possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flame, leading to the establishment of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force, ready to roll on a moment’s notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. The team is about to get a very unique addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous “devil’s footprints” (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first?

Fire Force was launched in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in September 2015 by Atsushi Ohkubo (Soul Eater). The 15th volume of the manga was published on November 16.
