Game of Thrones Prequel Set To Release In 2021?
Game of Thrones is the biggest television series of the modern era. Even the last season of the television series was disappointing, to say the least, but it still is the biggest show in the modern era. George R R Martin has previously revealed that there are going to be as many as five spin-offs shows that we will be witnessing in the coming future and the first spinoff is already in the making.
The casting part of the show is already done and here is a list of these cast members, Naomi Watts, Josh Whitehouse, Miranda Richardson, Jamie Campbell Bower, Georgie Henley, Toby Regbo, Alex Sharp, Marquis Rodriguez, John Simms, Naomi Ackie, Richard McCabe, Dixie Egerickx and John Heffernan.
The series is still unnamed but the plot is somewhat revealed. This new prequel spinoff will be set about five thousand years before the events of Game of Thrones television series. Even though it has been set so far back in time there is still one character who will be appearing in the show that has also been ever-present in Game of Thrones, this character is Night King himself.
The story will focus on the story of White Walkers, what they are and how they were created. We’ll also see children of the forest in great detail as well.
Also, we will see the ancestors of Starks and Lannisters basically we will see how the great houses originated in the first place. We might remember in Game of Thrones series that the Long Night was talked about which had happened in the past and was thought to be just a rumour.
In the prequel, we might see the first major long night after the creation of White Walkers. This long night is said to be spread over several years. The plot of this new unnamed television series does seem awesome as hell and all of us fans want to get a glimpse of it as soon as possible. But HBO programming president Casey Bloys revealed that we might not get this prequel until 2021 because it is too soon in his opinion after the completion of Game of Thrones television series.
He said he does not want to rush anything anytime soon and spoil the spinoff. We certainly hope that he has learnt from HBO’S mistake of rushing the final season of Game of Thrones which turned out to be a disastrous season out of all of eight seasons. Do mention in the comments section below what are your thoughts regarding the new Game of Thrones prequel.
