FUNimation Includes Prequel OVA In Anime Release For The Ancient Magus’ Bride

The Ancient Magus’ Bride was one of the very popular anime in the recent years. It was well-received by the fans, which would love to watch more of the anime. While there might not be more episodes of the Ancient Magus’ Bride, but, there will be an opportunity for the fans to actually get a chance of watching the anime without going online.

Ancient Magus’ Bride OVA Spoilers

FUNimation Entertainment made an announcement in which they revealed that they are going to release a Blu Ray disc, DVD and digitally of the Ancient Magus’s Bride. It will have the first 12 episodes of The Ancient Magus’ Bride. The release of the collection has been confirmed as January 29. Adding to the regular episodes, the collection will also include three special episode original video anime (OVA) The Ancient Magus’ Bride: Those Awaiting a Star.

The first episode of The Ancient Magus’ Bride: Those Awaiting a Star prequel OVA series ran in eighth theatres throughout Japan. This episode was added to the sixth compiled volume of Kore Yamazaki’s original manga series. The second part opened in 7 theatres in Japan. The Ancient Magus’ bride actually premiered in Japan on October 7.

The award-winning manga comes to life with a highly anticipated anime series! Suffering a tragic childhood and sold at an auction, Chise Hatori has little hope for a better life. But when a mysterious sorcerer named Elias takes an interest in her aptitude for magic, he decided to make her his apprentice and also his bride.

The staff which was involved in the prequel was included in the staff for the television anime with Norihori Naganuma directing the anime at Wit Studio. He was also in charge of the scripts. Aya Takaha wrote the scripts for the series. Hirotak Katō did the character designs. Junichi Matsumoto took care of the music, and Flying Dog produced the music in collaboration with BASiLiCA.
