Attack on Titan Manga Enters Final Arc
Attack on Titan is without a doubt one of the most popular manga over the recent years. It has cemented its place in the history books forever. The famous manga series also has its own anime adaptation. The third season of the anime aired earlier this year. The second part of the third season will air in 2019. The official Twitter account for MBS’ Jōnetsu Tairiku documentary program revealed that Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga is entering its final arc. TBS is also streaming a video which teases the final arc of the manga. Previously, Isayama had stated that he wanted to end the manga in more or less three years. He gave this statement in 2014.
Isayama’s editor Shintarō Kawakubo also said in 2014, “The serialization is slated to end in three to four years.” The manga of was launched in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009. The 26th compiled book volume of Attack on Titan was published in Japan on August 9. Kodansha Comics also publishes the series in English, and the 25th volume of the series was released on July 3.
Crunchyroll also publishes the manga digitally in English. Currently, the Attack on Titan manga has 86 million copies in print worldwide. The manga had also inspired two Japanese live-action movies back in 2015. Funimation released both films theatrically and on home video in North America.
Also, it was recently confirmed that Attack on Titan would get another live-action movie. Warner Bros. secured a deal, and the movie is going to be directed to by Andy Muschietti (It).
